The success of the garden program

greatly depends on parent volunteers

The more volunteers we have,

the more we can do with our scholars.

There are always exciting things going on in the garden and the garden can ALWAYS use help!

There are many ways that YOU can get involved -NO GREEN THUMB is required and you don't even have to get your hands dirty (unless you want to!).

Showing interest in helping out in the garden does not mean that someone is going to put a shovel in your hand and ask you to do yard work!

  • Volunteer parents needed to supervise scholars in the garden (Moms with little ones, feel free to bring them along!)

  • Watering help during school breaks

  • Help with organizing and running garden related fundraisers and events

  • Do-at-home type of jobs involving research and/or paperwork.

  • Designers to help with creating

  • Butterfly, Bug, Rock/Mineral enthusiasts!

  • Planning activities and experiences for our scholars

  • Picking up supplies for the garden (ie; used coffee grounds from Coffee Shops & leftover produce from the Farmer's Market to use in the worm bins.)

  • Of course if you are a gardener, it would be wonderful to have you share your knowledge, advice, tips and tricks.

  • There are so many things going on, please send an email and see how you can get involved.

Volunteering in the garden is fun and rewarding.  There is creative freedom, a connection with nature and it all takes place in a wonderful outdoor classroom!
